{"id":182,"date":"2019-05-29T21:26:41","date_gmt":"2019-05-29T21:26:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/site.hopetoheal.org.za\/?p=182"},"modified":"2019-05-29T21:26:41","modified_gmt":"2019-05-29T21:26:41","slug":"hope-to-heal-foundation-launches-books-and-magazine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/site.hopetoheal.org.za\/staging\/2019\/05\/29\/hope-to-heal-foundation-launches-books-and-magazine\/","title":{"rendered":"Hope to Heal Foundation launches books and magazine"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Source: https:\/\/southerncourier.co.za\/156046\/foundation-launches-books-and-magazine\/<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The foundation\u2019s mission is to help people to live free from violence  and abuse by providing quality, compassionate, confidential and reliable  services that foster self-respect, independence and hope.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>HOPE to Heal Foundation held a dinner to launch its new magazine on \nFebruary 1 at the Pyramid Conference and Venue Centre in Selby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Executive director Seema Naidoo said the foundation, which was \nrecently introduced to the South, also intends to launch two books in \nMarch, titled Knowledge is Power 1 and Knowledge is Power 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The foundation\u2019s mission is to help people to live free from violence\n and abuse by providing quality, compassionate, confidential and \nreliable services that foster self-respect, independence and hope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its mandate is to lead the struggle against bullying, domestic \nviolence, abuse, rape, suicide, human trafficking and teenage pregnancy \nthrough advocacy and community education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe will be doing awareness workshops in schools and continue with \nsome of the projects that we already started, such as feeding schemes \nand the distribution of school bags and stationery,\u201d said Naidoo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hope to Heal Foundation conducts education and feeding outreach programmes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also participates in healthcare services by raising funds for  specialised medical treatment for women suffering from rare medical  conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nFor more information, contact Naidoo on 078 906 7461 or seema@hopetoheal.org.za.
