The lockdown has resulted in a spike of job losses due to business being affected, leaving thousands more jobless. Restriction of movement during lockdown affected the daily wage people, whereby on normal circumstances, they could find work to feed their family, they could no longer do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The COVID- 19 pandemic has left devastating effect on vulnerable communities in South Africa, leaving thousands of vulnerable people starving.  Communities nationally were promised food relief hampers but sadly majority of the vulnerable communities did not receive these government food relief hampers.
